Uttarakhand is one of the most religious states in India. This place is also famous for its natural environment, not only this you can also be amazed when you know about their foods, their dances, and the places that you can visit in this gorgeous state.

Okay everybody the first place that we are going to explore is Dehradun which is popularly known as Dera Doon, this city is situated in Doon valley in the foothills of the famous Himalayas, which is between the two famous rivers i.e. Ganga and Yamuna, and also it is the capital of our Uttarakhand. Trust me, you guys gonna love this place with its scenic view.
The places that you can explore in Dehradun were-Dehradun Zoo, Kalanga Monument, Lakshman Siddha Peeth, Santala Devi Temple, Mindrolling Monastery, Prakasheshwar Mahadev Temple, Maa Bala Sundari Mandir, Khalanga War Memorial, and many other famous temples and zoo.

After visiting Dehradun let’s have some hilly fun… I mean to say that it’s time for Mussoorie hill station. Yes guys Mussoorie is famous for its hill stations as well as its mountain views and greenery which is spread all over Uttarakhand. This place is around 35 kilometers from the Dehradun. And one more thing about this place is that in the winter season you can enjoy snowfall, but make sure you have proper clothes to protect yourself from the cold.
So the places that you can visit in Mussoorie were-Kempty Falls, Lal Tibba, Gun Hill Point, Company Garden, Cloud’s End, Jharipani Falls, Mussoorie Lake, Sir George Everest’s House, and Camel’s Back Road.

After having a hilly fun it’s time to visit another famous city in Uttarakhand called Rishikesh, it is also spelled as Hrishikesh, which is also known as “YOGA CAPITAL OF THE WORLD”. This amazing city is located around 21km from the city of Haridwar. It is been also said that name HRISHIKESA belongs to Lord Vishnu and the meaning of this name i.e. “Hrishikesh” is “LORD OF THE SENSES”.
The best thing that you can enjoy in this Rishikesh is yoga, rafting camps, and spiritual environment. The places that you enjoy in Rishikesh were – River Rafting, Lakshman Jhula, Triveni Ghat, the Beatles Ashram, Ganga Aarti, Cliff Jumping, Neelkanth Mahadev Temple, and Ram Jhula. Make sure you don’t miss these places.
So after visiting Rishikesh, it’s time to some skiing and hiking… yeah the next place we are going to explore is Auli, which is in Chamoli district, in the Himalayan mountains of Uttarakhand, it is also known as Auli Bugyals in Garhwal.
The places that you can explore Auli were- Auli artificial lake, Gorson Bugyal, Chattrakund, Trishul peak, Chenab Lake, Joshimath, Rudraprayag, Auli Ropeway, and Camping in Auli. And many other ski destinations that you can explore.

As I said at the beginning that, it’s Maha Shivratri time, so let’s make this festival more magical by visiting this famous temple called Kedarnath which is dedicated to lord shiva. It is located near the Mandakini River.
But to arrive at this holy temple is not so simple you need to trek, because there are no proper roads available for you, but you can take the help of carriage holders, who may help you to reach this temple. So it will be fun, that while getting blessed by lord shiva you can also have the fun of trekking.
So don’t forget to add this holy temple to your trip.
After visiting a holy temple let’s visit a small village called Chopta. Chopta is located at a distance of 1.5 kilometers from Tungnath or we can say that it is the part of Kedarnath wildlife sanctuary.
Now you will be thinking what so special about this village?, so here is the reason for choosing this village, is that you can do lots of things in this Chopta village like-trekking, Chandrashilla peak, Tungnath temple, and Atrimuni falls.

So after visiting a small village, you might be interested to visit in a town, so here is one of the most famous towns called Almora., this place is located on the edge of the Kumaon hills. This town is famous for its hills and tourist spots with natural beauty.
There are various famous temples and places that you can visit in Almora… I know you want to know that temples and places… so here it is – Chitai Golu Devta Temple, Bright End Corner, Martola, Kalimat, The Deer Park, Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant Museum, Simtola, and The Katarmal Surya Temple.

Okay everybody let’s have another hilly fun i.e. I’m going to tell you about one more hill station called Ranikhet. Ranikhet is a beautiful snowy hill station, which is a home and maintained by the Indian army. It’s located in the district of Almora.
Okay so without wasting time I’m going to tell you where you can visit Ranikhet- Golf Course, Ashiyana Park, Mankameshwar Temple, Rani Jheel, Binsar Mahadev, Babar Khola, Haidakhan Temple, Majkhali, and Katarmal (Sun Temple).

Okay everybody another exciting town of Uttarakhand is Uttarkashi, which means north Kashi. This town is also famous for its name called Shivanagri, which means shiva’s city. This place is famous for temples and adventurous tourism.
The nearby places that you visit in Uttarkashi were- the Gaumukh trek, Kedarta, Dodi Tal lake, Tehri Dam, Gangnani, Dayara Bugyal, Harsil, Gangotri, Tapovan trek, New Tehr, and Chamba.

Haridwar is one of the famous cities in Uttarakhand, it is the second-largest city in this state and largest in the district. Haridwar has situated on the foothills of Shivalik ranges and the bank of river Ganga. This city is regarded as a holy place for Hindus, which hosts various other famous temples.
